Artist Statement: Well after several years, “I am still letting out the dogs” and cats too. Once I was grumbling to my mom about not ever selling any paintings. She said if you want to sell, paint something people like – landscapes, portraits and so on. I said none of those things interest me. I finally tried something I love which has a bit of what mom said. So now I do landscapes with portraits of dogs and cats. Fortunately, those of you who love pets also love my paintings. It has been a “win-win” situation. I also love to make people happy and give them a laugh.
Jeannette Williams graduated from San Jose State University in Design and received a masters at UNM. She taught art for 31 years for Albuquerque Public Schools, CNM, and Continuing Education at UNM.
Paintings and prints are for sale and a portion of sales benefits Oasis.
